DRIVERS READY? MARIO KART TOURNAMENT COMES TO BEE CAVE
Contracommon is proud to host a Mario Kart Tournament at their holiday party on December 13th, 2025 from 6-11pm, featuring vendors, snacks, drinks, prizes, and more! This is a chance for friends, artists, and community members to gather, celebrate the season, and play games together. The party will also act as a reception for our Merry Makers Market; it is free to attend and open to the public.
The tournament will begin at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm for driver check-in at our reception desk until 6:45pm. There is a $5 tournament entry fee for drivers, which comes with a free drink ticket. It is recommended to bring your own controller if you are participating in the races! Dressing up is encouraged: think holiday colors, tacky sweaters, and of course Mario & Nintendo Costumes. Contracommon will provide free snacks and beer while supplies last, with $5 cocktails available for purchase. The top 4 racers will take home prizes crafted by local artists from our collective.
This holiday party will also celebrate the artists featured in our Merry Makers Market, a booth-style display of art and handmade goods from Austin-area artists. Items for sale include a wide range of media, such as: original paintings, prints, collages, sculptures, homewares, pins, apparel, ornaments, jewelry, stained glass, and more! This is a great night to shop for holiday gifts, while playing games and meeting talented artists. Who could ask for more?
Contracommon is an artist-run nonprofit bringing art and people together. We host monthly art shows, hands-on workshops, and community events, while providing affordable studios and experimental gallery space to local artists. This Mario Kart Tournament, and much of our regular programming, was dreamed up by our studio members who use the space to practice their craft.
