Contracommon is happy to offer its facilities and amenities to local artists interested in hosting workshops and events! We regularly post open calls for art and also accept exhibition proposals for our gallery on a rolling basis. Call for Art:
Queer-identifying artists for a Booth-style exhibition
Deadline: April 30, 2026 @ 11:59pm
Application FEE: $10
Contracommon is accepting applications for a pride-themed, booth-style exhibition in our gallery. You Better(art)Work will be on view from May 30th through June 25th, featuring queer-identifying artists.
Each selected artist will be allotted approximately ten feet of wall space and may bring a table, rack, shelves etc. to display smaller works or items. Past booth-style exhibitions like Imprint ATX and REFLEX III can provide an idea of how previous exhibiting artists have utilized their space. Installation will take place by appointment from May 22nd through the 24th.
We will celebrate the artists participating in You Better (art)Work with an opening reception on Saturday, May 30th from 4-7pm.
Save images with your first name, last name, and image number as it appears on your corresponding image list (Example: JohnDoe01.jpg), as JPEG files, 72dpi, no larger than 2MB.
Pay the $10 fee on the same page after submitting your application.

Artist receives a 70% commission on all sales. Contracommon handles all transactions, taxes, and processing fees.
