Contracommon empowers underrepresented artists in Central Texas through community, collaboration, and creative exploration. Contracommon is an artist-run nonprofit arts space that focuses on supporting emerging artists’ professional development in a collaborative setting. Through a partnership with the Hill Country Galleria, Contracommon operates an experimental gallery space in Bee Cave, providing affordable workspace to emerging artists and access to facilities to support artists’ practices. Resident studio members volunteer their time and expertise to work alongside staff in creating exhibits, workshops and events that connect individual artists to their community and promote artists’ small businesses.
Contracommon’s Pride Market will take place on Sunday, June 29th, 2025 from 11am – 3pm at Double Trouble (located at 103 N Loop Blvd E, Austin, TX 7875). This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department. For more information visit: www.contracommon.org, or email events@contracommon.org.
