Stained Glass Pet Paws workshop hosted by Deke Cameron

In this class, students will assemble and solder a stained glass suncatcher of a cat paw or dog paw in colors of their choice.
Hosted by The Glassclown, this beginner-friendly workshop will guide students through the craft of stained glass in a four-hour, single session class. Students will break and grind glass, bend and form lead came, and learn proper use of a soldering iron. Each participant will get to choose between a cat paw or dog paw, while also choosing their own glass from a wide variety of colors and options.
All skill levels are welcome and encouraged - no prior experience required. Minors ages 14+ may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All tools and materials are included. Personal protective equipment (like gloves and glasses) will be available, though you are welcome to bring your own.
Safety warning: This workshop can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Instructor bio:
Deke Cameron is a self-taught stained glass craftsperson and member-artist at ContraCommon, in Central Texas. He watches a lot of television and movies and revels in nostalgia. He also loves his dogs, Pete & Bella.
