In this hands-on class, students will assemble and solder a stained glass spider web made from a variety of pre-shaped art glass, as well as a glass glob spider crafted with decorative wire and lead came.

Hosted by The Glassclown, this beginner-friendly workshop introduces the labor-intensive craft of stained glass through lead came construction and soldering techniques. While glass breaking and shaping will be covered, the main focus will be on assembly and soldering.

All skill levels are welcome - no prior experience required. Minors ages 14+ may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All tools and materials are included. Personal protective equipment (like gloves and glasses) will be available, though you are welcome to bring your own.

Safety warning: This workshop can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
