Furniture Restoration Workshop with JustRestore

This hands-on furniture transformation workshop introduces participants to a range of techniques for turning everyday pieces into unique, customized designs.
Each student will be provided a small square table (13.75 × 13.75) to customize. Host Sabah will guide students through the full upcycle process: from preparing and priming, to decorating, and finally sealing their completed project.
Practical tips and expert insights are shared throughout to support continued creativity and confidence in future furniture upcycling projects. This will include approaches for a range of furniture materials, decorative methods, and finishing techniques. By combining these skills, participants gain a deeper understanding of how to achieve cohesive, polished results now and in the future.
Instructor bio:
Sabah Bardhan is the founder and head artist of JustRestore, a creative studio dedicated to transforming forgotten furniture into meaningful, functional art. She specializes in hand-painted furniture and custom artwork, with a strong focus on sustainability and reviving existing pieces with purpose. Originally from Mumbai, she spent 21 years in Dubai and is now based in Austin, Texas, working between the U.S. and Dubai. Her work has earned international recognition, including honors such as Annie Sloan Painter in Residence, first in Asia, Global Zibra Golden Brush Awards finalist, and Annie Sloan Star Painter in 2025. Through JustRestore, Sabah brings storytelling, craftsmanship, and conscious creativity into both corporate and residential spaces while also teaching workshops across the U.S. and Dubai.
