Sip + Solder Spiders and Webs: Stained Glass Workshop at Austin Beerworks

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4TH / 12-4PM
AUSTIN BEERWORKS - SPRINKLE VALLEY LOCATION
$80 per student
$140 for two seats

In this 4-hour beginner-friendly class, students will assemble and solder a stained glass spiderweb suncatcher with a hanging spider charm. Bring nothing and leave with your very own work of stained glass art! Participants will learn the basics of lead-came construction, basic soldering techniques, including the use of tools and techniques unique to the art of stained glass.
Host Deke Cameron will have an assortment of pre-cut glass shapes for students to choose from in a variety of colors and textures for the spiderweb and the glass glob spider charm.
No experience is necessary and students of all skill-levels are encouraged to participate. Ages 14+; minors must have the supervision of a parent or guardian who is also participating in the class. Personal protective equipment like gloves and glasses are provided.
Safety warning: This workshop can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Deke Cameron is a local stained glass artist and teacher, with many years of experience working with students of all levels in varying arts and crafts.
