Texas raised artist Sadé Lawson touches on topics such as positive representation as a person of color, the power confidence, to the deeper issues of how we perceive ourselves and others in a world where it’s easy to jump to conclusions. The use of the human form, dreamy surrealistic landscapes and a variety of bright colors aim to elevate moods and inspire introspection on a personal and universal level. Portraiture, vivid colors, landscapes, and various objects are used to tell varying narratives of the subjects themselves. Sadé has been a muralist and live painter since 2018 with works at Luster Pearl East, Cosmic Coffee, Try Hard Coffee, and other various locations in Downtown Austin. Sadé is a self-taught artist currently based out of Austin, TX.
