About

Holly Cerna (1998) graduated with a BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in May of 2020. Her work consists of oil and acrylic paintings. Narrative and art historical references come together in her paintings that have an emotional and intimate feel to them. Her work explores the effects that social technologies (image sharing and social media) have on contemporary American society. Her more recent body of work explores how color relates to emotion and light as a representation of the soul or consciousness.  β€‹
